Tenants Enjoy a Free Supermarket Day, Thanks to Local Churches’ Contributions.

In a heartwarming demonstration of community support, our organisation recently received an outpouring of food donations from various local churches in celebration of the Harvest Festival. The generous contributions filled a dedicated room, creating an abundance of food resources to share.

In response to this overwhelming support, we decided to open our doors to our valued tenants for a special “Free Supermarket Day.” Tenants were invited to shop for free, selecting items of their choice from the vast selection of donated goods. This event not only aimed to provide essential resources but also to foster a sense of community and togetherness.

“It was truly heartening to see the spirit of giving that the Harvest Festival brought to our community,” said Emma Pawsey CEO of Hebron Housing. “The donated food items from local churches will make a significant difference in the lives of our tenants. We are grateful for the opportunity to share this abundance with them.”

The event was a huge success, and tenants left with not only full bags but also smiles on their faces. This act of kindness and collaboration between local churches and our organisation has reaffirmed the sense of community spirit Norfolk and showcased the incredible impact that can be made when we come together to support one another.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the local churches for their generosity and look forward to continuing our mission of creating a positive and supportive environment for our tenants.
