Celebrating 30 years of Hebron Trust
I’m in my fourth year at Hebron and we are going from strength to strength. I enjoy my work and still find it immensely rewarding when another woman goes back out into the world to a great life in recovery.
Whilst our tried and tested programme remains the same we are always looking for ways to enhance and refresh and this year have added a ‘basic-text’ group run by Natalie and Clare. This has proved very popular and a great asset to the house.
We have had another successful sailing course run by the Nancy Oldfield Trust. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain skills and help to improve confidence and communication skills. I think there was only one week of rain too!
Celebrating 30 years!
We are having our 30th birthday party at Hebron on 20th September. We have invited friends old and new and all those we work closely with. It’s also a chance to invite people into Hebron that don’t know much about what we do, to see and feel what Hebron is all about. The House is such a special and important asset to the programme and we hope everyone will be able to experience the atmosphere and charm of this building.
Our new website will be launched this month, a chance to rebrand and refresh Hebron and to link with social media for the first time. We hope that you will all feedback on the new format and tell us how you want to keep in touch.
Referrals and numbers on the programme remains a challenge
Local Authorities continue to operate under serious financial pressure. With the help of Felton Fundraising and Appeals we have created a Bursary fund to help those that need access to our programme and who lack the means or do not qualify for help from the state
Finally, we have also created a committee of local fundraisers, so watch this space for lots of events in the coming year. These will include a Christmas fair and a fashion show.
Hebron is ready for the next 30 years! Bring it on!
